trying to get my grandson into angling aged 7 I was a bit disappointed by fishery owners wanting to charge the full peging fee for him .I thought we were trying to encourage youngsters into our sport id like to hear your views on this

The venues that show no sense of reason with teaching beginners deserve to see a decline . They certainly won’t endear themselves and it is short sighted . If you are situated in the West Midlands , then you absolutely must join the Bham anglers assosiation ! For 50£ approx you and your grandson can go for 1 hour or all day , Every day of the week .! :p . Even your local canal could be a good option ! His first fish may be a tiny perch . Even so he will either get the bug or perhaps not . Visit every tackle shop in your area and most will be very helpfull with your requirements . Explain that you’re not a member of the golfing fraternity with a money tree at the bottom of your garden . There are usually clubs and syndicates in most counties that cater more for youngsters and beginners alike . Spend more time and effort doing the homework and bring him on with the RIGHT kind of fishing . You will save lots of money to spend on petrol and tackle and bait . Best wishes 🙂 🙂 🙂
