Riddle your maggots off and put your krill powder in 2 days before you want to kill them to let them really soak up the flavour.
Then riddle the krill powder off them and put just the maggots in cold water just enough to cover them then boil the kettle and put your fingers in one side of the bait tub and start to slowly pour boiling water into the other side, as soon as your think ouch and have to take your fingers out they will all be dead.
Take them out of the water re-add the krill powder mix it in let them go cold bag em up job done.

Thanks, if you kill them with the kettle do you still need to keep them in water on the bank or will they float?

get your tackle shop to bag them up in pints for you and tie them down with no air in the bag, leave them for at least 5-6 hours until you see the maggotts stretch lengthwise.you want soft very limp maggotts if you freeze them without stretching/sweating them they are to firm in texture even though there dead.

Depends on the weather really, if it’s red hot I just have a water spray bottle to stop them drying out. if it’s a cool day just leave them as they are.

Quarter fill a bait tub with cold water add your maggotts then SLOWLY ADD boiling water
stirring the maggotts round to avoid the same area being scolded
once all dead place them under freezing cold water to stop them cooking furthur
which will result in them NOT smelling like burnt skin
its important you stop the cooking part they stink awfull if you dont

Put some Krill on them, put them in a freezer bag with the air squeezed out. Put them in the freezer. Job done. 🙂
