All snake lakes, upto 16m wide. Normally tight to far back or near bank. Pellets work as do maggots but I haven’t been for a year so don’t know which is the present ‘in’ bait but I’m sure someone will know on here.

When I won the qualifier there last year it was probably the simplest day ever, just kinder potting pellets across and fishing expanders. Just draw well and hope theres a few infront of you, looking forward to going to the qualifier myself.

they have got a lot to consider with regards pegging as they have 2 lakes that have been emptied and completely restocked, what i was being told by the local lads the other week that these will be the 2 obvious lakes for the winner to come from. mind you if you find yourself on an end peg with the wind blowing into it then it could come from anywhere. i love the mystery of match fishing.

i think you will be looking at around 80lb winning weight just remember the matches at the minute are not that big so thinking about it more like 60lb will be good which makes a lot more winning pegs
