Be prepared for plenty of fish, lots of spare rigs etc. In general you can catch on any method on all the lakes but for trying to win I go with:
Match: 4mm Pellet shallow, meat close in. for F1’s and some carp.
Arena: Meat down edge, pellet shallow, pellet wag. Carp from 1-20lb
Speci: Splash wag, pellet wag – 8mm pellet, method, meat close in. Carp from 2-20+lb.
If on Speci they are cruising around and not really feeding have a shallow rig with a long length of line to the pole for mugging them, I like to use meat for a slow fall.
I just wish it was a bit closer to the north, wouldnt need to go anywhere else if it was, fantastic place.
