Lost Fish

Here goes….

When fishing and you have hooked a carp (for example) and the hook is in the fishes mouth how does the hook transfer to a branch or reed or such other underwater item. The fish is streamlined (to a degree) and the fish is swimming into the reeds hook first whilst it is still hooked in it’s lip.

I would have thought that the reeds/branches have to get between the hook/line and the fish for it to transfer from said fish to the reeds.

Hmmm, just thinking aloud I guess. 🙂 😉
