        All,

        Been daft enough to enter the Match This at the weekend. Lakes being used are Reptile, Crater, Thames, Avon, and Derwent. Anyone got any advice on depths, baits etc?

          Hello John. The deepest water I can think of on those lakes would be around 4ft, with most being 3ft. Best baits will probably be meat, corn, pellet and maybe dead maggot or caster. Groundbait down the edge sometimes works. Some big fish to be caught, especially on reptile and derwent. Fish can be anything up to 18lb.
