EVENT: WEDNESDAY ‘NISA FEEDERS’ OPEN MATCH
        VENUE: LAKE FOUR
        DATE: 1 March 2017
        RESULT
        1st Alan MARSHALL Corby 33-08
2nd John ADAMSON Nisa Feeders 31-02
        3rd Terry SANDERSON Leicester 24-10
4th Tony LAMB Jaguar AC 13-00
5th Rob MALLABONE Cross Keys AC 10-10
        Number of pegs: 18

        Report:
Although the cold and strong W wind sheltered the high numbers, although all caught fish none bothered the scales-man with the top five all facing the wind.

Alan Marshall’s last fish, hooked right on the finishing whistle and landed a few minutes afterwards sealed him the win. His six carp from peg 9, totalling 33-08, all came to ground-bait method feeder and bunches of maggots after he changed tactics after 2 hours.

On peg 2 John Adamson’s 4 carp, all falling to pellet method feeder and weighing 31-02 took second spot, the consistent Terry Sanderson (peg 5) taking third place with 3 carp and a barbel on bomb and pellet for 24-10.

NB. ‘Nisa Feeders’ Opens are at Makins on Phase 1 every Wednesday, 9.00 am draw in Café (on Phase 1 Car Park).

EVENT: THURSDAY “NISA FEEDERS” OPEN MATCH
VENUE: SNAKE AND REPTILE LAKES (PHASE TWO)
        DATE: 2 MARCH 2017
        RESULT
1st Stu JOHNSTONE Match Catch 68-10
2nd Dave KENT Long Eaton Victoria AS 57-14
3rd Gaz WOOD Swann Baits & Sconezone 46-08
        4th Daz DALE Foster’s Team Army 37-04
5th Barry ROWLANDS The Glebe 33-10
6th Danny ROSS Tackle Shack 33-08
        Number of pegs: 23

        Report:
Crystal clear water and a strong cold wind failed to deter fish feeding and, in spite of 4 anglers not bothering to weigh the match still averaged over 25 pounds per person.

Stu Johnstone improved his good Thursday form (three seconds and a third) by going one better to win from Snake peg 12. Fishing pole and corn, altering his line slightly to the left produced a string of good carp resulting in 68-10 and a clear win.

On the next peg, 10, Dave Kent fished similarly but his slightly smaller stamp of fish to total 57-14 meant he had to console himself with second place.

Reptile peg 13 produced third place for Gaz Wood, who had mainly “stockies” in his 46-08 total, all falling to pellet fished at 13m.

NB. ‘NISA FEEDERS’ Opens are at Makins every Thursday on Phases 2 or 3. (£15 “all in” at the draw). Draw 9.00 am in Café, Phase 1 Car Park.
