TF_kev34B15(will win match) b17(2nd) and b23 b25(if the winds blowing) are the pegs you want to draw.
Fish method tight over on b15 and b17,be accurate and you will catch a few carp…
B23 fish pole long down to the platform of 24 if its not in and farbank with method…
B25 method tight over……
Rest of the pegs just fish method and if you see em crusing pellet waggler might snare you a couple of fish.If you have more than 16 anglers get the prayer mats out ~sick ~sick ~sick ~sick ~sick ~sick

TF_bevo1ParticipantThanks for that Kev,
Not good to here it will only cope with 16 anglers as we normally get 23 + anglers turn up. Are you still only allowed to use swimstim groundbait and pellets? Is there any particular hook bait that is preferred on the method? -
15/06/2010 at 7:57 pm #107675
TF_CraftytaftyNo, nothing like that at the moment. ordinarily B15 and B17 would win easy but it isn’t fishing well.
Last weekend the wind had changed away from the high numbers so even A20 didn’t really produce.
B25 isn’t the peg it was and B23 hasn’t been for ages.
You can’t catch down the edge at the moment, the water doesn’t seem to have much colour in it.
Ninefingers had the best weight by far on B bank off B3 on sunday with 85lb. I was next with 56lb off B23. there are odd fish to be caught all the way down but it is very difficult and not just a case of bashing the method in all day.
B15 had 1 carp and B17 had 3 on dog biscuit in the last half hour.
The whole lake seems to be changing and unless you change your approach you’ll struggle.
Ninefingers is spot on, pm him and he’ll put you right

We obviously have a better class of angler as he caught long down the edge of b23 with the wind blowing into it,it just goes to show each day is different and kev gave info from our match last sunday.

TF_matt2007r u shaw ninefingers that u know what yer talking about, your reply was a bit rude mate, kev34 was only saying what pegs did what on our match, and as it happened the information he was given by makins regulars was spot on.

deano1ParticipantB15 must be solid you won of it matt ~clap ~clap

TF_carpmagicParticipantTo be fair Ninefingers did say no disrespect at the start of his post. Also without taking sides ninefingers does know what hes talking about regarding Makins and he has first hand experience ie he was on there the sunday just gone.
The pegs Kev mentioned however are normally good, ie B15 and B17 but i wouldnt rate B23 or B25 to be honest. As has been said with 20 plus on the B bank it will be tough to say the least, especially in the bowl where the pegs tend to angle inwards. -

deano1ParticipantMaybe b23 has found some form then two consecutive 2nds in 2 weeks ~think ~think ~think

TF_Craftytaftyspot on Steve.
Ninefingers was speaking from first hand experience and also he’s awesome on ph 1,I said that ordinarily B15 and 17 would be good.
The guys who gave the advice ( Snooty and Gaz) probably haven’t fished it for a bit. I stood in for Mark ( Snooty) on sunday and when he phoned me before the match and I told him where i was ( b23) he said he was glad he wasn’t fishing it, as did virtually everyone else at the draw.
The guy on B25 fished a fair part of the match down the margins and had 1 carp and he was no mug.
If the wind blows towards that end I would expect to catch more on the method anyway.I didn’t say dog biscuit was watercraft, just saying what was caught on what.

AnonymousIf you didnt u/stand my repy all i was saying was that the old form is not the same now and i was not trying to be rude!!!! oh bye the way im not allways right.
I have helped the lad in question by way of a PM as he will verify, I spent a long time replying as i did last week and the week b4 to help ppl who won their respective matches luckily, maybe its best to keep off this site like some others have done!!! -
15/06/2010 at 9:18 pm #107692
TF_kev34I also spent time in answering the lad and you tell him I don`t know what im on about..I gave him my info from my visit the previous week which you said was old form~think
If you didnt agree with my answer to the lad you could have just gave him your advice instead of the sarky comment….

TF_makerSorry ninefingers but your reply to kev34 was a bit harsh, saying he doesnt know what he’s talking about and ending it with exclamation marks, it does stink a little, i do think you did give some good advice to yourself though, as you say, like some others have done.

16/06/2010 at 8:50 am #107717
TF_carpmagicParticipantWell that will be another good angler lost from TF then it seems. Hounded out after giving advice on a venue, maybe not as diplomatically as could have been the case but it was hardly rude.
-
16/06/2010 at 1:01 pm #107733
deano1ParticipantWell i thought it was harsh as did a few others after reading the thread, don`t matter how good an angler you are it does`nt give you the right to be rude~naughty
-
16/06/2010 at 2:01 pm #107734
TF_CraftytaftyI didn’t think it was rude either, but then he calls me worse 10 times every week when we travel to a match and it don’t bother me~clap ~clap
He spends a lot of time helping people on different venues so it’d be a shame to lose his input and I know he would never deliberately be rude to someone. none of us is infallible tho.
However, if it was perceived as rude then everybody is entitled to an opinion, but then telling him to take his 10th finger out of his arse could have been construed as being just the same

TF_kev34Can we draw a line under this now please, getting a little silly and ninefingers did apologise ~clap

16/06/2010 at 2:36 pm #107740
TF_PaddyPLEASE DO draw a line under this.
I have not followed any of this thread until reading it now/today.
I have been asked to remove this thread and there are enough personal remarks for it to be removed totally. Thread removal is the last option, so i am going to remove the offending bits – I just hope they do not come back up again, because there are some good points in it as well.
