Report:
A warm SW wind moved most fish to either end of Lake Two at Dynamite Baits Makins for the Wednesday KOBRA Open, with the ‘Bowl’ end dominating. All methods produced fish and several big fish were taken from the margins on pole all round the lake.
Wayne Price (Bailey’s of Warwick) caught steadily throughout on pellet waggler from peg B11, and added a few ‘lumps’ on the pole and corn in the latter stages for 138 lb 12 oz of carp and a clear win. Photograph of Wayne Price with 60 lb of his 138 lb 12 oz winning catch is attached.
Andy Findlay (Preston Innovations) was runner up with a feeder caught 92 lb 6 oz of carp from peg B14, although he was pushed close by Burton-on-Trent angler Frank Didio, framing for the first time with 89 lb 12 oz from peg B2.

Report:
The Thursday KOBRA Open on Snake (Dynamite Baits Makins Phase 2) proved an excellent match in spite of rain throughout mush of the day.
Once again venue ace Andy Findlay put on a superb display catching mainly small carp and chub ‘up in the water’ on pellet at 16m from peg 19 to record another win with 79 lb 8 oz (43 lb of which were ‘chub and carp under 3 lb).
In form Long Eaton Victoria AS angler Dave Kent filled second place with a margin caught 53 lb 14 oz of big carp from peg 5, edging local angler Craig Harrison (Attleborough Sports) into third place with 53 lb 2 oz from peg 15.
Kobra Thursday Open on 6 May will be on the Avons (Phase 3) 10 am draw.
