        man balls debate
right !! lets throw the cat amongst the pigeons, what if all the companies and sponsors out there turned all there money they give to individuals and teams into sponsored tournaments.would angling be better off, would teams be prepared to fish them off there own backs, and the incentive of bigger prize money increase your own standard of fishing. it seams to me angling cannot get sponsors from outside the sport and the big problem with that is the lack of televised competition and angling programmes. when you do see a advert with angling its very limp,a bloke with a bulb on his head
i know this will never happen but its worth a debate

Why do people think that we need more money in Match fiashing and bigger prizes etc etc. The majority of match anglers in the country just want a days fishing with mates and nothing too serious.

Think the more prize money the more divided angling becomes.

I think a look at football shows that money aint the answer.

more money more win at any cost, you only have to look at the calibre of anglers trying to fish supercup matches and things like the garbo club angler too see that any significant prize generates greed

I expect you would probably end up with something like the football premeir league just a handfull of team with the better angler winning all the money, and the rest would soon lose interest as they only have a very slim chance of winning, and less money to compete, you would probably be better to put limits on the number of sponsored anglers in a team say a max of only 3 allowed in an 8 man team at least that way we could hope to bring on more anglers on. but would the sponsored anglers be interested??
