I fish manor quite regularly but never fished actually on the Windmill lake as its normally for club bookings/pleasure anglers. If it goes to the rule of most manor farm fishing it would be pellet and paste job (Start on top kits, but may have to go longer). A propper shallow rig also worth doing. I think there maybe a few lumps in windmill so dont fish too light! If you want to know anything else drop me an email

any particular pellets, soft or hard? what is the best way to start when the whistle go’s depth, feed etc, do they come to noise or should i ‘trickle’ it in?

Personally I would start fishing something like a 6mm expander on the hook after initially feeding a couple of nuggets of groundbait. This would be on an inside line (just a power top). After that I would trickle hard feed pellets in and probably switch to the paste after about 45 mins or so. I would fish marginally away from where I feed if they are really having it as you dont want foul hookers. Plumb about until you find a flat spot and you’ll be laughing! If all else fails and you cant catch as quick as pegs around you then go shallow (with a float!) on a banded or hair rigged pellet @about 11/12m to start and keep trickling it in. Bodge may have more of an idea about windmill if he reads this post
