molehillthis is for the map team and any1 else whos interested.
Got one of these poles bout 6months ago from tackle to fish.its awesome even at 17.5 metres great package, great price had no problems.apart from the 13 metre piece has several hair line cracks which happened on the strike whilst the pole is under my elbow with several layers of clothing on.now the 11 14 and 16 metre sections this hasnt happened.had the 1st pro repaired just to make sure stuck a bit of araldite on the other 2 splits as i dont want repairs all over the pole. All i want to no is the 13m piece a weak section or faulty or is it me.when fishing 13 most of time since i stick it between my legs.stu -

TF_back shotParticipantReturn the sections to Map mate, they will check the sections for flaws.
A mate of mine had a problem with two nunber 5 sections breaking on is new Parabolix, and they replaced the sections with no questions asked.
All poles are exspensive bits of kit, and if not treated in the correct manner will easily crack. But i would exspect a pole of two grand to hole up to the riggers of day to fishing.

TF_clfletchI think you’re being unreasonable tubestation – You’ve had what you regard as a bad experience with MAP, and your comments look a bit like sour grapes. I’m not averse to slagging off products, but would be wary of rubbishing a whole company. Whenever MapMike has responded on here he has seemed to be the soul of helpfulness.

mapmikeMolehill: You have a PM with regards to your sections.
Tubestation: I agree with clfletch that you are being unreasonable with regards to your slogan comment. I have openly said why I never replaced your section and that if it was a manufacturing fault the section would have been replaced under warranty.

TF_boydieParticipantI’m on my 3rd MAP pole now, having owned an Adrenalin, Lumphammer and now a TKS40 and I’ve never had a problem with any of them. The only issue I had was with a holdall supplied with one of the poles. After contacting Map this was resolved straight away without question.
I know from experience that some other major manufacturers can’t even be bothered to reply to any correspondance, pretty poor when you’ve spent a grand plus on their product. -

TF_back shotParticipantWell done mapmike, i can see you have been under fire recently, but it sound like you have been stright with the people who have had problems. Also you have had the guts to stand your ground when many would have kept there heads down.
Molehill i am sure you will now get your sections sorted goodluck.
