wakeyboy, take the section back to the dealer you bought it from, explain the circumstances how the section broke etc, I feel certain that if the section broke due to a manufacturing fault Map will replace the joint FOC.

In general Map mike who comes on the site is extremely helpful and tries to assist wherever he can.

I had a MAP TKS 40 pole last summer, the number 5 section broke twice, but LEEDA were excellent and replaced the section both times FOC, and the turn around was within a week.

Are the TKS poles known for this?

I only ask as I’m planning on buying the TKS 625 soon and don’t really want the hassle of broken sections~naughty

Hi wakeyboy1, we sell alot of these poles a i cant say we have had many problems with this range. They are one of the easyest companys to deal with regarding spares and aftersales and i’m confident that your local shop will sort this out for you. The top 4 manufactures for aftersales we deal with are Daiwa, Peston, Maver and Leeda {MAPWYCHWOOD} , in no particular order. Also MAP poles all come with a 12 month warrenty which you are well inside. To the doubters of the quality of this range ,we have had no more sections back than say a tourny pro or G10 and the 525 is possibly the best sub £1000 pole i have seen for some time. They are good poles and all poles break its the nature of what thier made of . By the way i have no allegiance to MAP.
