area39ParticipantHi all, two things….
I bought some Marukyu EFG medium granule groundbait on Friday to use this Saturday just gone and I though I would mix it up the night before the match.Low and behold on the day of the match I tried to squeeze the groundbait around my method feeder and it fell to pieces!
I tried adding more water but no joy, I think the granules in the groundbait soaked in the water too much as I put in the right amount of water.
I regularly mix Sonubaits groundbait the night before with no problems so it may have been me not mixing it right but if a word of warning try not to mix the night before!!
Now my question is…. Is there anything I can add to the Marukyu to help bind it together as I’m reluctant to throw it away?
Thanks

TF_dave brittainGo back to your old method mix and add 1/3 Marukyu. Alternatively you could add sugar or horlics but it could ruin the mix if you get it wrong

TF_joffmiesteri’m sure marukyu haven’t developed these G/BS,pellets and paste for us to start adding things to it ~sick ~sick ~sick how many millions of pounds were spent researching the product this is why you will get negative responses to the bait

TF_kev34Its expensive enough without adding ingredients to it,question you should ask is is it worth buying over your old groundbait that did mould together…

TF_teabagThat one thing I have found with it, it does dry out very quickly.
Best to mix small amounts as you need it, only takes a few minutes, if you do need to keep some, it keeps better in a plastic bag with the air squeezed out of it before sealing. -

They work well with other additives, their range also includes powdered and liquid additives to add to their G/B, pastes and pellets.

TF_Wheely Crap AnglerI have had no problems at all with Marukyu products. The stuff is fool proof!!!! Mix it as specified on the packet 5 minutes before you need it and it`s spot on. Surely if you are paying for a G/B with so many active ingredients in you wouldn`t want it inert????
Just my opinion
