Got one of these on order; just need to decide on extra kits – I think the normal powers supplied with the pole are too long and I will use them for edge work with big elastics.
I am unsure whether the short powers which are the same length as the match 2+3 are ok and wont offset the balance of the pole or whether to have to fully splash on spare match kits. Have to admit I am leaning towards the short powers, not least cos I can get them for circa £50 where MT3’s are well over a ton a piece!
Does anyone have any experience of this that can add some advice? cheers.

I have an Elite 77 and your right the Deluxe power kits it comes supplied with are very long. Nearly all my kits are match top 3 kits and I have them off 271, 371, 401 and 481 as well as the ones that came with it. i use these with up to double 8 slip or black hydro with no worries whatsoever. I do have 2 short power kits but have not used them yet. To me they look and feel quite similar to the top kits which came with the Maver invincible I bought for propper lump fishing. one other consideration is to get the power sort 4s. I have got ones and I prefer to use it for when I am targetting larger carp.

            Cheers Gillbo

Just picked up the pole today, on way home a mate pointed out that the promotion is back on so will be phoning the shop re the voucher for the extra free 3 power kits and a short 4. ~clap

I have picked up some 5.5mm bushes to butcher the top kits back to the same length as the match 2+3 – only trouble with that is non of my toss pots will fit! Doh!

Btw not had to play with it yet but what is the cup kit like – I have used the extendable ones on my TP and airity but they dont fit Maver poles. Any tips?

browning zitan power match kis fit perfect, just discard the number 1 section, they are very strong, very light but best of all cheap.

I’ve cut the deluxe power kits to same length as match 2 plus 3. I have fitted a drennan bull nose interally. Works a treat, I think the short powers are what the invincible are supplied with and the deluxe are better cut back on the match pole at length.

cheers again boys. Must admit I’m leaning towards some deluxe powers with the extra band in that can be drilled through – should be able to do side puller kits myself then!

Will be waggling to pole in the garden later to see how it feels with 2′ lopped off the power kit- I bought some 5.5mm internal Maver yesterday that look right.
