yes matches run if enough numbers, worth giving Janet (fishery owner)a ring to book in and check first.

            Tel: Janet or Jeff – 01637 860770

pellets are fine if low attended match, if a few anglers are on the bank worm over worm or maggots are better!!!
look for three foot of water – you will only need top 2’s max!

            good luck

dead depth or just off bottom???

start on bottom – very little, but very often feed will bring the fish up in water (half depth is a good catch zone)
the carp are small around the 10oz to 1lb mark some push 2lb but they are very competitive.
too much feed will result in too many foul hookers!!

i found the best thing to do to avoid foulhookers when i was there was to plumb up and feed about 2-3 foot from the bank fish there to start with but as soon as you have too many fish in your peg ( didnt take long) then just drop your rig in the same spot as normal and drag it right into the bank so its touching the grass andjust hold it there the majoirty of bites pull your laggy out and the ones that dont are unmissable, but make sure you keep your fed going in away from the bank still if your start missing bites dragging your rig right in then feed even further out from the bank or fish a couple of foot past your feed but still dragging it right in
