Now i know there has been a few things said on this forum recently that have not exactly been singing the praises of Meadowlands.
So,due to the fact that i am booked onto the 3 day festival that is taking place from this thursday i thought i’d better pay a visit and take a look for myself to see what going on.
well i’ve been up there this afternoon and i can honestly say that i couldn’t see any signs of the negative things that have been said about the place..i’m not doubting the authors for one minute but from what i have seen,i cannot agree with you.

There were plenty of fish moving,i didn’t see one dead fish, didn’t sense any horrible smells and there was certainly no litter strewn anywhere,in fact the whole place looked really tidy..the water had plenty of healthy looking colour aswell…cont’d

I spoke to one of the owners and enquired into wether there were any problems and the reply was that they had lost a few fish, approx 250 of the small stockies out of the 2,000 + that were stocked earlier in the year..i think you’ll find that any fishery will lose a certain percentage of new young fish, this works out at approx 10% so i would imagine thats not unheard of.

Anyway,in my opinion the place looks tip top and i hope we have a good festival.

          Cheers

Bloody computers done it again !!!

AH32..Yes,its an annual event usually the same week in september each year…Both lambsdown and warren are used..2 sections on Lambsdown and 1 on Warren.
Each angler fishes a different section each day.
To book on simply contact Dean or Chris at the fishery..There are still a handful of places left for this year if your interested.

I think he closes the book at 45 anglers and i think that there’s 35 to 40 already booked on.

My drawing prowess seems to have deserted me at this venue at the moment if you go on my last three draws at Blythe.
