          you will catch all year round on meat (winter as hookbait without feeding)but in my opinion its at its peak in the warmer weather as the the water temp rises then it would surely release more flavour and oils than in colder temps

              IMO you should be on meat now for carp. I have been catching well on it since March. I expect as things warm up they will switch to pellets, usually early June but all depends on water temps. I would normally expect pellet to become less effective than meat in October but once again its all about temps.
