medusa rig

hello, i’m thinking of having a dabble with the medusa rig one day this weekend. any tips on how to fish it? whats the best way to attach the medusa? is it with a rig ring or with the maggot clip?

how much would you feed, i’m fishing for carp approx 6lbs

Maggot rings are probably one of the most dangerous rig components to the fishes welfare hence why they were withdrawn from supply last year. They tend to open up during the fight & can catch externally in the fish. Either thread the maggots (add some imitation ones to balance the bait) onto some fine line, braid or dental floss & tie to a rig ring on the end of the hair, or thread a cork ball onto the hair & superglue maggots to that.
