i was doing something similar but without the shots so close to the loop and a bigger loop before he came out he was using it in the magazines.

it does work.need a loop about an inch long and a no8 shot tight to loop not . then plumb to no8 shot so as loop lays on bottom .think a very innovative person called ricksy invented it !!!

Two inch loop, with two no8 directly above the loop. Plumb to absolute dead depth, and ensure the float is dotted right down. Lift at any movement of the float.

Two no 8 above a two inch loop which an eyed hook is attached to ..allowed to run freely inside the loop then a small bulk of 8s 18 inches above the two in the loop.Fish at depth giles uses dibber type floats from map 6-10-14sFor corn and meat.

Ive used the drennan castor or preston dyber types as a substitute for the map but still learnning my self

i actually invented he methd myself 15 years ago in a mud hut in malaysia, but danderous dare devil dave stole the design plans and took out a patent on the idea. I have yet to forgive him for this, but i am the original Sensei of the method!

1 get a size 18 hook of your choice i prefer the b911 eyed version.

2 tie a small loop about two inches in length with the hook inside .

put two no 8 shots above the loop thsi will make sure any movement registers with the float.

do not dot down the float as i find you get milions of false bites with this method leave about quarter of a bristle showing and mark the float with black paint so you can see lift bites of any sort.

only srike at bites when it goes under and stays under. or good lift bite but with this method you rarely get these.

this is good with all fish and all baits i use it at cudmore white acres and allows you to use stronger lines i think.

ive used it with shots no shots big bulks small bulks but the way i said is far the best.
