Ive recently started fishing at Lindholme lakes using the method.

I have set up with the following:

main line 0.20 daiwa reel line

small 30g preston in line method feeder

        small preston quick change bead

        4″ hooklength 0.16

size 18 or 16 drennan carp feeder barbless hook

micro band for pellet or qiuck stop for meat / corn

90% of the time i am using hair rigged banded 6mm pellet.

Is this correct or would you change anything?

i dont like the 30gr method feeders, to heavy as they hit the water, prefer the 15gr ones

If you are fishing up to islands on Bonsai then you need 30g at least to get the feeder to hold on the slope. I know a few who use heavier than that on there but 30g should be fine.

i agree with steve, you need a heavy feeder to hold where u chuck it, i would be tempted to use the guru QM1 16s hooks i find them spot on for the method.

whats your thoughts on these hooks steve

i would increase the hooklength upto 0.18 myself more-so when baggin cos it does take some abuse!

Try a Guru pellet feeder with meat inside rather than pellets. ~clap

I wouldnt bother with the quikstops just use the band pulled through meat etc save time changing hooklengths also stick with heavier feeder as has been said.Wayne were you the chap in leegem last thursday afternoon
