It is with a very heavy heart that i have just found out about one of my team mates Mick Craig he passed away on Monday after battling with a virus in his heart valve, he was part of the back bone of my team. He led Reading and district to winning the div 1 on the Severn, he was our captain for a while before i took over.I dont know how many of you guys will know him but he will be greatly missed by a lot of people in the Reading and Oxford area.

RIP Mick, what a top bloke, I always had a chat to Mick when I bumped into him. He was a bit of an innovator, and was the guy I copied by using a big float on the whip on the K&A. Memories of Mick were watching him at Froxfield on the K&A bagging on the long whip and Big float. And also a next peg battle on the Basingstoke canal in a winter league ( which Mick Won with a late run of Fish )Rest in Peace Mate. I’ll try and catch on the whip at Great Bedwyn (next stretch to Froxfield) on Sunday for you.

That was one thing about him he was always thinking outside the box, and fishing the big float on the whip in 2ft of water on the K&A was a fine example of the way he thought. He was always a great person to bounce ideas off when picking teams, he is going to leave a big hole in our squad.
