Have you carp lads noticed that you get little white mites in the pellets and pellet feed?..i’ve constantly cleaned my carry all out, year after year to get rid of them.

But every october/november they come back – probably due to high humidity at this time of year.

I’ve even bought new carryalls…but i have talk to one carpy mate who has told me that “all sorts of mites are in pellet feeds”.

I even bought a second hand box seat off ebay and that had them. Also ive seen posts before from other anglers.

Anyone else had this problem…just to let you know that they are normally found in sheds! and not on gear in the house. Which again points to high humidity.

        cheers in advance

Never had mite problems with pellets stored outside in the workshop, but had a massive problem when I used to keep them under the stairs in the cupboard. Only way of solving the problem is not to buy too many at a time.

I’ve never had mite problems and I buy in bulk 25kg sacks of pellet & particle at a time.
I keep all my bait in big plastic medical waste type storage bins with sealed lids in garage. Some is also in an 80 litre plastic dustbin.
No problem with mice either; sorted.
