        I know this might be a daft question and probably been asked before, but i’ll ask it anyway.

        In the Model Match Rules , rule 22 states:

        “Hand lineing fish is not permitted, this includes handling elastics and line, also not allowed is the practice of trapping stretched elastic with the hand down the length of poles sections. Fish should never be bullied like thisâ€

            I clarified this with NFA/AT before and the use of pull pungs is allowed. This rule refers to the practice of handling the elastic or trapping the elastic that comes out of the pole tip.

                Happy to oblige.
                Although some fisheries do not allow the use of pull bungs in their rules.

                  yes pull bungs are allowed as stated..
