Whats happened to Monks Lake the fishing was dreadfull, I managed to get 40lb together many didnt, in fact I think half of those who turned up to fish left early many of the big names too.

The whole complex of lakes haven’t fished very well since the problems with lake 1 closing ~think

With the cold wind we had for 5 days running up to the event it was always going to fish poor.

With all the end peg flyers in the drawbag and Puma in as well there were more potentially winning pegs in the bag this year than last I reckon!

Well done to Keiron Rich!!! He done well considering 10lb came off that peg in match on the Monday before.

The whole qualifier was close with an 87lb,84lb,80lb,76lb,74lb and numerous high 60lb weights, although it fished hard everyone i spoke to after said what good fisho qual it was because of how tight the weights were.

At the end of the match no one knew who had one it which makes it a good qualifier in my eyes.

I weighed 68lb off lake 4 and lost 30lb of fish on an under water snag but hey thats fishing!!
