Mosella Kompact Rod Holdall

Just bought a Mosella Kompact 8 and I’ve been playing around with storing made-up rods in the hard sleeves.

I’m hoping to store 2 in each and I wanted to have the reels towards the bottom (and hence the tips pointing updwards when the rod holdall is held vertically). However the only way I could get 2 made-up rods in each hard sleeve was to have one with the reel at the bottom and the other the other way around with the reel at the top (and the tip pointing to the ground).

This isn’t a huge problem, but do other people that own these have a way of storing 2 made-up rods in 1 sleeve with both reels at the bottom?

Hi Gerald,

I’ve had the Kompact 8 system for over a year and haven’t had a problem with storing the rods. I have the rods all pointing tip upwards,sometimes I’ll just push one up slightly so the reel sits just above the reel on the other rod. It is held in place when the zip is closed

Just use the velcro ties up the length but use a shorter rod with a long rod and like welsh states just have the shorter one towards the top and secure with one of the velcro ties. I have 3 rods in mine but one is made up with just a spool for the reel with the other rods. Saves a bit of time as I cant afford loads of reels . The wife wouldnt be too happy
