Lambsdown is the big lake,just fished the three day festival there and the pellet wag and candle dominated..Floating baits were banned so people were fishing the candle with an 8mm pellet hair rigged between 6″ and 12″ deep..The pellet wag was fished between 1ft and 2ft deep..Just feed 6 to 8 of the fishery 8mm pellets 30 – 40 yards out,3 bags should suffice (£2 a bag).
If you draw the far bank in the 40’s AND 50’S straight lead fished at approx 35 yards out also worked because it is shallower on this bank.
Also on this bank feed a short pole line with corn and fish double cat meat over the top,some big carp will move in during the last hour..rigs need to be minimum 0.20 and strong elastic.
