                Hi lemmy

nice mixed venue, absolutely full of fish, ranging from small skimmers, roach & perch up to big double figure carp

genuinely helpful & nice owner too

every peg has features to target, there are islands, lillies, margin reedbeds & underwater bars etc

In places you’ll be able to reach the islands with 13m-16m of carbon, other places you’ll need a bomb rod

At the moment the carp are still not feeding, so you’re probably looking at targeting the skimmers & proper bream (there are some serious bream in here) to build weights

there are also lots of small tench & crucians that have just started to wake up, some of the crucians are approaching the 2lb mark & I hear there are bigger

other species likely to make an appearance are roach, perch, ide (again, there’s some good sized ide, 2lb+) & some golden orfe, which can usually be found near the water inlet at the top of the fishery

all methods work at this venue, pole, bomb, feeder, waggler

fish maggot & you’re almost guaranteed bites, pellet will produce the better skimmers & bream, along with tench, crucians & carp
bomb & pellet, meat (when it’s warmer) or corn to the island is also a good bet

if you’re in the pegs between the islands, cast to the shallow bar running between them, it’s full of lillies in summer & the carp use it as a dining table
