Ravensthorpe Reservoir will be the first of our fisheries to open on Friday 26 February, followed by Pitsford Water on Saturday 27 February. Grafham Water opens on Friday 4 March and Rutland Water on Friday 11 March.
Our Open House at Pitsford Water last Saturday 20 February was a great success.
Peter Hartley our senior coach helped anglers brush up on their casting skills. Craig Barr of Flash Attack Flies and Snowbee came along to showcase their latest gear. Our Hooked 2016 magazine was launched and our new range of 2016 season tickets were on sale.
Fisheries Manager Jon Marshall says “It was great to meet up with customers for a chat about the new season. One of the highlights was the draw from last season’s ticket returns which was won by Bill Coppin of Kings Lynn. Bill won a Gold Season ticket to fish the 2016 season for free!”
Ravensthorpe opens Friday 26 February
Plans for the new season are well under way, with expectations high for some good sized fish. The star of the show at the beginning of last season was a 12lb 10oz Rainbow taken by Richard Cooper.
Pitsford Water opens Saturday 27 February
Grafham Water opens Friday 4 March
2016 promises to be a golden year for Grafham as the fishery celebrates its 50th Birthday and we look forward to another exceptional season.
Rutland Water opens Friday 11 March
It will be an early start to the season with Rutland Water opening on Friday 11 March. Stocking will commence very early in March with Rainbows and Browns. Any overwintered fish showing at the start of the season should be in tremendous condition.
