Novice needing guidance

Hello All,

I have not fished since I was a young lad when me dad used to set me up and tell me to stay quiet and watch for a nodding rod 🙂

I am dying to get into Carp Fishing mainly and have researched and researched and watched hours of fishing programmes but am still confused as to what essential kit I need to start. I do not want to spend fortunes just yet but I also dont want to go to the lake half cocked.

Can any of you guys give me some guidance on decent affordable rods and reels and what essential kit I will need?

hi if you look on matchfishing magazine look for someone like nick speed he will take you out for the day tell you what you need it will cost you but you will do so well with your fishing from there on
