        Afternoon all,
Off to fish the open at Oaks tomorrow, but never been before.
Just fancied a change, rather than making the 125 mile journey to Makins from Leeds, like most weekends.
Also high up on the reserves for the Fisho, so thought I’d start to get a bit of a feeling for the venue.

The match is on the new lakes
Any idea what baits are being used, how they are catching and what pegs?

Any help will be really useful.

        Cheers
        Andy

Its on the new lakes tommorow. Ive not been on them myself yet but the general jist is that there is a sunken island right down the middle of the lakes from about 10-11m, theres a 14.5m pole limit and thats where everyone is catching. Its all stockies around 8oz so just a straight forward light pellet aproach.
