TF_dirkdigglerTo all you six month subscribers.
Be aware that Online fishing tv will take the money from your account for the next six months with no warning whatsoever.
Their unexpected little dip in took me over my overdraft and cost me £22.00 in bank charges.
I realize this country is an expensive place for the unwary so be unwary no longer my fellow anglers and don’t take an unexpected dicking like i did~naughty -

TF_Wheely Crap AnglerHave you contacted them before coming on here? This is becoming too regular on here that people moan about other companies.

Anonymouswhy not come on here?i would imagine a lot of subscribers are from this site and online tv do extensive advertising on here!

TF_mannymaggotI beg to differ but you should be able to have a moan. There are far to many companies ripping us all off nowadays. For instance bought a power trolley brand new of e-bay it didnt come in the right packaging and had the wrong third wheel on it.Obviousley last one left in the shop .When i asked for the original wheel i was told they didnt have one. In the end i got a refund but not for the postage which was £15 to deliver and £33 to send back. Wright to moan? Think so.

TF_Wheely Crap AnglerAll I was saying was if I have a problem with anything I try to resolve it. Of course everyone has a right to complain but IMO going through the correct channels normally gets things sorted.
We had a problem a couple of weeks ago on here. Luckily enough I personally knew the two parties involved. After a couple of phone calls the issue was resolved and the thread was removed as requested to stop animosity.
There will always be complaints but posting them on here will not neccessarily resolve them!!

31/03/2010 at 11:44 am #100570
Nick DI had the same problem with OnlineFishing.tv
I wasnt going to continue my subscription but had to because it took the funds automatically.
A warning would be nice.
Oh and as for having a moan, i dont see the problem. Why should it be ok to praise a company but not have a moan also?

TF_CutnutBecause it’s too close to home.
-
31/03/2010 at 12:54 pm #100575
TF_bwfcjohnParticipantI’ve just subscribed and am fully aware that unless I notify them they will continue to take subscritions from my account. Surely I am not the only one that was told the rules before signing up.

Not atall Pete. If people read terms and conditions there would be no need for this thread..
Extract from OnlineFishing TV terms and conditions
“Renewal
By setting up an OnlineFishing.tv subscription, you are agreeing to an automatic renewal of your membership after each six-month period. Should you wish to cancel your membership you can do so quickly in TV Settings – if you do this you will still be able to view until the end of your six month membership.”

TF_John PriceAs above!! It doesn’t take a genius to read the sign up conditions. I have signed up to many things online with the same conditions and if you want to cancel but are not near a computer at the time then put a reminder in your diary or phone to remind you to cancel before the next payment is due!! Hardly taxing is it?
-
31/03/2010 at 2:58 pm #100587
TF_geepsterParticipantIt’s not just in the conditions, it’s stated very clearly indeed when you join that renewal is automated, including directions of how to stop this happening.
This can be done on any day of your six-month season ticket membership.
Also anyone who has missed this or changed their mind and has asked for a refund after the renewal and within the stated period to change your mind has received one.
So thanks for the opportunity to clarify this.
Have you contacted us by phone or email dirkdiggler?

RustlerThe attitude and replies of WCA, are indicative of a form of censorship IMO. If the guy wants to post to have a moan then what’s wrong with that?
Some people have mention that this site has gone “off the boil” an bit, i suggest WCA has just turned the gas out !! -
31/03/2010 at 3:01 pm #100589
TF_geepsterParticipantNobody has censored anything to my knowledge.

I simply asked a question and gave an opinion (MY OPINION) What censorship? Nobody was stopped moaning I merely pointed out his errors.

RedfinSo basically someone can complain about somethin that is there own fault but the moderator is wrong for pointing it out?

TF_geepsterParticipantYou might say that, I couldn’t possibly comment….

TF_dirkdiggleri really did’nt start this thread off for it to become some sort of did you do this or that bitch fight,
it’s purely to alert people to the fact i had money taken from my account without any prior warning.
i emailed online fishing tv this morning to voice my displeasure i neither expect nor want a reply as no matter what is said i have no intention of giving online fishing tv any further business.
i’ve just been on and cancelled my subscription and incidentally it took me approximately five minutes of looking to find the tv settings button.
admittedly in my nievity i missed the automatic renewal when i first joined the site and all this thread was started for was to alert other people to that fact they need to mindful of that too.
i’am not someone who likes to come on here to cause trouble as i have a very grounded view on what is right and wrong, i’ll let people make their own mind up on this subject. -
31/03/2010 at 4:55 pm #100611
TF_geepsterParticipantIf you send me an email in your real name (you may well have done already but unfortunately I can’t relate any received to dirkdiggler) I will organise your refund.
We are not in the business of attempting to rip people off.

TF_Nigel.I won 6 months membership at the ACA masters last year, oh bugger, that was about 6 months ago!
I didnt even use it, that was a waste!I wish the Magazine subscriptions were continuous, it is a much better system, and you dont miss a copy then either.

TF_Serious SamTo be fair – I took out a subscription with them when it first started but didn’t want to continue after.
I failed to let them know ahead of time and they billed me, I contacted them letting them know I didn’t want to continue and they immediately issued a full refund.
They didn’t need to do this and it cost *them* money for the card processing so I was impressed with the service.
Would be proper to contact them and give them a chance before coming on here moaning.

TF_piperpilotI had a free 24 hour pass and TBH I don’t have much interest in anything other then Pole/Match fishing. The shows were fairly good but as I’d already seen most of them already I didn’t choose to subscribe. OK I suppose if your into watching hours and hours of fishing but like the seemingly endless and mindless twenty20 cricket now showing on ITV4 it’s not for me, Most subscription sites give little or no warning of re-billing,

TF_dirkdigglermoney refunded thank you very much.
the point of this thread was not to come on here moaning at all.
as i’ve said to geepster i thought the point of angling forums was that you were able to come on and discuss all things angling.
the point of the thread was to alert other people to the fact that i’d been caught out by not being watchful enough when signing up and for fellow anglers to not finishing up doing the same as me.
i for one did’nt realise the direct connection between this website and online fishing tv.
i have appologised to geepster for any bad publicity caused but surely in the long run this will save a lot of fannying about on his behalf renewing money to berks like me who don’t read things properly.
case closed as far as i’m concerned. -

TF_geepsterParticipantNo worries, onwards and upwards.
Had some really interesing meetings with Internet TV companies recently.
The dream is still a proper fishing channel for the sport, which would be great for the industry.
Satellite is just too expensive and simply doesn’t add up, but Internet ready TVs are going to change everything… in their own good time of course. To help us get there of course we could do with more members…
In the meantime we continue to add 12 new shows a month – a couple of good shows that could interest people on here that have gone up in the last 10 days are one with Andy May fishing the pellet cone at Cudmore and another with Lee Edwards fishing ‘up and down’ on Back Deans at Woodland view;
http://www.onlinefishing.tv/channel/listCurrently if you join £29.70 for a six month season ticket, you get a pack of Ultima High tech line worth over £40.

TF_Kevin WThe Andy May pellet cone film is very very good.
Especially at the end…

02/04/2010 at 5:15 pm #100835
TF_nitrowhile the andy may video was quite interesting (mostly because of the catfish, and his entertaining personality on camera) it was something we have seen many times before. Also the Lee Edwards clip is available from most tackle shops on a free dvd~think It was a very good dvd but why pay £30 for 6 months to watch something you can get for free? Definitley seems that this site is not aimed at match anglers. There is plenty of content for just general fishing programmes, but i think a lot of anglers are like me and are only interested in match style fishing.

TF_yorkshirei had the same problem with a porn website!!!!
seems if WCA doesnt like the reply he edits it to his likeing!!!

TF_geepsterParticipantThere’s another Session with Andy May in the can fishing waggler on commercials.
You’re right Yorkshire the channel’s not just for match anglers.
You can look at all the coarse programmes here:
