        REPORT

MOLANDS Showing the best form of the year so far with match and pleasure catches in excess of 100lb. The warmer weather has seen up in the water sport best with pellet waggler and 6mm pellet or long pole with pellet or caster fished around the 2ft mark. Big F1’s to 6lb, carp to double figures and increasing numbers of tench and crucians showing. Best pegs have been 8 – 12, 23, 27 – 33, 39, 43 – 46 and 56 – 60.

GEARYS Like all the pools the sport has been really good on Gearys with carp now showing on all areas of the pool. Lots of double figure fish coming out with the biggest reported a 19lb 6oz common. Match weights were to over 90lb with very good back up weights. The top method in matches is the straight lead with 8mm pellet or popped bread but pole fished pellet is also working well. The carp anglers are fishing big boilies for the bigger fish. Best pegs are 7 – 12, 17 – 21, 24, 30 – 32 and 36.

LITTLE GEARYS Little Gearys is in very good form this week with nets to over 100lb coming out in matches and all areas producing decent catches. Shallow tactics are best but pellet feeder and fishing down the margins with caster or pellet is also working very well. Best pegs have been 3, 5, 8, 15, 21 and 25.

GRATUITIES The carp are staring to wake up and show in large numbers with fish to double figures featuring in nets with pellet waggler accounting for the better catches. Plenty of tench, crucians and skimmers showing on the pole with pellet or caster fished at 8 – 13 metres. Best pegs are 1, 2, 8, 9 and 14.

WILLOW A small pellet waggler or pellet feeder fished up to the island is working best for carp and F1’s making up to 3lb but the odd larger carp are falling to this. The best chance of bigger carp is to fish down the edge with corn, caster or pellet and fish well into double figures are coming to this.

ANNIVERSARIES The F1’s are spreading out better and it is more consistent around the pool, Short pole or a small waggler have been working best with pellet or maggot on the hook.

SIBLINGS A (Doughnut). Carp, tench, skimmers and F1’s are being caught on long pole and pellet fished at 13 metres to the middle island. The consistent pegs have been
        1 – 3 and 17 – 22.

SIBLINGS B (Horseshoe). Lots of F1’s are coming to short pole and pellet fished down the middle or close to the next platforms. Tench to 3lb have also featured in nets.
