        REPORT

MOLANDS Molands has in terrific form last week with the carp showing in numbers and pleasure anglers reporting nets up to 25 carp to 15lb. Big boilies and floating baits are accounting for the better fish. In the matches, weights to over 100lb and good back up weights have been caught last week. Shallow tactics are still working well with long pole and pellet fished shallow, pellet waggler or pellet feeder the best baits in matches. Top pegs are 2, 4, 8 – 12, 19, 27 – 29, 33, 41, 44 – 48 and 56 – 60.

GEARYS In really good form at the moment with a few 100lb weights in matches topped by 146lb 8oz in Sunday’s Open. Pleasure anglers are enjoying good sport too with lots of carp coming top of the water, fishing with bread or dog biscuit or down the margins late on with meat or corn. The skimmers are really going well with nets to 60lb coming to pole and worm. Top pegs are 1, 6 – 11, 15, 17 – 20, 23, 31 – 33, 36 and 40.

LITTLE GEARYS Although winning weights have been 118lb this week, generally the fishing has been a little slower than previous weeks. Pellet or method feeder fished to the island or up in the water with pellet waggler/pole and pellet have been the top tactics. Top pegs have been 1, 7 – 12, 19, 21 and 24 – 28.

GRATUITIES Carp to double figures have been caught to bread or dog biscuit with the top bays the best areas for these at the moment. Plenty of skimmers, crucians, roach with the odd tench or F1’s being caught on pellet, maggot or caster, but the catches have been down a little on the past few weeks.

WILLOW A little slower this week with pleasure nets to around the 60lb mark best made up of carp in the 2 – 4lb bracket and F1’s. The best approach is a small method/pellet feeder up to the island or pellet waggler fished across. Best pegs are 1, 5, 6 and 10.

SIBLINGS A & B Both pools offer really good sport with carp, tench, skimmers and crucians feeding well at the moment. Pole and pellet fished short at 3 – 5 metres is the top method but a few anglers have enjoyed good sport fishing right across with a small feeder or long pole.
