        REPORT

It was a difficult week with ice covering the pools on a few mornings and the water has now gone clear on most of the pools. The best areas on Molands have been around Scarecrow Point with pegs 42 – 48 the most consistent with F1’s to 3lb coming to the pole and maggot with catches to 30lb caught last week. Little Gearys has produced the best chance of catching to pole and pellet or maggot from all around the pool but pegs 7 – 13 have been the hot ones. Big Gearys has been very patchy with the odd carp showing here and the skimmers and roach have been more reliable with pinkies, caster or maggot fished over micros or ground bait catching nets into double figures. The small pools, Reedy Bay, Alder, Crescent and First Bay are worth fishing this time of year with F1’s, small carp and lots of rudd and roach coming to float fished maggot or caster.
