MOLANDS A much colder week with very strong winds saw catches drop.F1s provided the best catches with fish in the 1-2lb range coming to the pellet feeder with punched bread ,meat or banded pellet. Pole and caster or pellet is working on some areas catching mixed nets of f1s,roach,skimmers and tench. Top pegs 8, 19, 25 – 28, 42 – 48 and 52 – 56.
GEARYS The very cold weather doesn’t suit the shallow gearys and catches dropped from the previous week.Skimmers and roach are coming to pole fished caster or pellet Top pegs 1, 6 – 13, 17, 27 and 36 – 41.
LITTLE GEARYS One of the more consistent pools at the moment with the f1s showing well on most pegs with pellet feeder or long pole working best for them. There were a number of carp caught in 3-7lb range with pege 5-9 the best pegs for these and pole fished pellet or maggot the best tactic for these..
GRATUITIES Carp are providing the better catches with nets to over 30lb caught this week. Pole with pellet fished down the near margins or a straight lead and bread fished up to the island have been the best tactics. Top pegs are 1 – 4, 8 – 11 and 15.
WILLOW Fishing well with F1’s, carp and skimmers providing the better catches. A small feeder to the island is the top tactic with punched bread or banded 4mm pellet on the hook. Best pegs 1, 3, 5, 6, and 8
