        REPORT

The pools have been frozen all of the past week and the only fishing taken place is after breaking the ice. The most consistent area of the fishery has been on Molands with pegs 43 – 58 producing F1’s, skimmers and roach. Pole fishing has been working best with expander pellet, maggot or pinkies the top baits. On Gearys, the Silver League match on Sunday saw the early pegs from 1 – 7 and 31 – 41 all produce plenty of small roach and the odd skimmers with maggot or pinkies fished over ground bait the best tactic. Willow has been the only pool that has not completely frozen and anglers on there have caught F1’s, small carp and skimmers on pole and pellet or waggler and bread to the island.
