        REPORT

MOLANDS The first frosts of the winter saw that sport dropped off through the week and more refined tactics were required over the weekend. Long pole with caster, maggot or pellet fished over ground bait was working best for nets of F1’s with the odd bream or carp as bonus fish. Best pegs have been 2, 8, 10, 27, 29, 41 – 46 and 56 – 58.

GEARYS The high bank along pegs 6 – 13 has been the most consistent area producing nets of skimmers to 30lb+ on long pole with pellet or caster. A few carp are still coming to margin tactics with corn or dead reds down the edge.

LITTLE GEARYS The most consistent pool throughout the week with nets of F1’s to over 50lb. Caster or dead red maggot fished down the first shelf or in the margin has been the best approach. Top pegs 3, 5, 7 – 11, 17 – 21 and 26 – 29.

GRATUITIES Straight lead with bread punch or pellet fished up to the island is still producing carp to 6lb. Float fished down the middle with pellet or caster is good for mixed nets. Best pegs 1, 4, 8, 9, 11 and 16.

WILLOW Pegs 5 and 6 providing good nets of F1’s and carp to a pellet feeder fished tight up to the island with meat or punched bread the top baits..
