        REPORT

MOLANDS Fished very well this week with catches to over 90lb in matches and good weights coming from all around the pool. Pellet feeder with meat, bread or banded hard pellet has worked best with carp and F1’s coming to this. Suzy Smith caught a 21lb 6oz mirror on this during Saturdays Open. Long pole with pellet is also accounting for some good catches with F1’s, skimmers and tench showing on the line. Top pegs are 2 – 5,
        10 – 17, 28 – 33, 42 – 48 and 52 – 56.

GEARYS Gearys is still fishing hard with skimmers and roach making up the better nets with 15 – 20lb very good at the moment. Pole fished caster or maggot over ground bait or a small ground bait feeder are the best tactics. There are a few small carp showing on pegs with overhanging bushes as features and corn over a few micros is picking up fish to 3lb. Top pegs 1, 6, 9 – 13, 20, 23 and 32.

LITTLE GEARYS Improving from the previous week but catches are still below expectations at the moment. Pleasure anglers are reporting nets of F1’s to 30lb with 20lb+ scoring in matches. A small pellet feeder or method feeder up to the island with punched bread or meat is the best tactic. Long pole at 11 metres is also accounting for skimmers and a few F1’s. Best pegs are 7 – 11 and 23 – 29.

GRATUITIES Started to pick up early in the week with carp nets to 40lb but the cold weather at the weekend saw a drop in sport and skimmers, crucians and roach became the target fish. Pole fished caster or pellet is working best for silvers, bomb and bread for carp. Best pegs 1, 4, 9 – 11 and 15.

WILLOW Pegs 1 – 7 have provided the most consistent action fishing a feeder or waggler up to the island for F1’s. Skimmers and a few carp, punched bread or pellet have been the top baits.

ANNIVERSARIES Lots of skimmers and roach are being caught at the moment with the deeper water on the early pegs from 1 – 10 providing the best sport. Pole fished caster or maggot over ground bait or a little cage feeder have been the best tactics.
