        REPORT

MOLANDS A few mild nights in the week saw the fishing improve with match weights to 80lb+. The big F1’s were feeding well with hard pellet fished on the pole or waggler accounting for fish to 4lb+. Carp were showing in a few areas with fish to double figures coming to the pellet feeder with banded hard pellet or small chunks of meat on the hook. Best pegs have been 10 – 15, 19 – 25, 42 – 48 and 54 – 58.

GEARYS A little quiet this week with catches down on the previous week. Pleasure anglers were having nets of skimmers, brown goldfish and the odd bonus carp on pole and pellet and the pool has fished best when there is a good blow on it. Carp to nearly 15lb were caught in Sunday’s Open with corn fished down the edge or to a feature the best tactic for them. Top pegs 7, 13, 16, 19, 21, 27, 29, 31 and 36.

LITTLE GEARYS Fishing steady with F1’s showing all around the pool and wind direction playing a part in making certain areas better. Match weights to 40lb+ this week and pole fished pellet or corn down the inside margins is the top tactic followed by pellet feeder fished up to the island. Top pegs 7 – 11, 19 – 21 and 25 – 27.

WILLOW Probably the most consistent pool at the moment with F1’s, carp and skimmers showing on all areas to a variety of tactics. A feeder fished to the island or long pole and pellet have probably been the pick of the methods. Top pegs are 1, 5, 6, 7, 9 and 11.

GRATUITIES The middle pegs on either side have been in the best this week with pole fished pellet or caster catching plenty of carp and tench on pegs 4 – 8 and 11 – 13.

REEDY BAY/1ST BAY These small pools have been fishing well for F1’s and small carp with corn, pellet or maggot catching plenty of fish.
