MOLANDS A much improved week with the big skimmers showing well and making the other fish have a go. Match weights to nearly 100lb and good back ups were caught with carp into double figures, bream to 4lb, tench to 4lb and F1’s up to 1½lb featuring in catches. The best tactics have been the method feeder or pellet fished just down the island shelf with small pieces of meat, 6mm banded pellet or dead red maggot and pole fished paste or meat down the rear margin. Best pegs are 8 – 19, 25, 31 – 33, 39 – 46 and 54 – 58.
GEARYS Fishing well with carp and skimmers providing match weights to over 60lb and pleasure anglers enjoying bigger catches particularly those fishing into the evening. Pole and paste or method/pellet feeder with meat, dead maggot or pellet have been the best tactics. The high bank from pegs 6 – 13 has been the most consistent area but pegs 20, 25, 29, 31 and 32 have also accounted for some excellent mixed catches this week.
LITTLE GEARYS A little slower than of late with the F1’s not showing as well as before. Carp to 5lb, tench, skimmers and crucians are making up the better catches with pole fished pellet at 10 – 12 metres or caster and worm fished down the near margins are working best. The best pegs are 7 – 11, 17 – 21, 26, 29 and 30.

PACKINGTON SOMERS FISHERYGRATUITIES This pool is fishing really well for tench with fish to over 6lb coming out along with a lot of fish in the 1½ – 3lb range. Carp to 7lb and crucians to over 1lb also showing in numbers. The method feeder is working well, particularly at the ends of the island on pegs 8, 9 and 15 and 16, with pellet or meat on the hook. Float fished corn or meat is also ac
