        REPORT

MOLANDS Carp to over 10lb, tench to 6lb, bream to 5lb and crucians to 3lb have all featured in catches in the last week. Evening times are best with the fish moving close in the near margin and paste or pellet fished down the edge has been working well. In the matches, pellet feeder with polony meat, banded pellet or bread punch on the hook has been the winning tactic. Best pegs are 1 – 4, 18 – 21, 29 – 31, 44 – 46 and 54 – 60.

GEARYS In very good form through the week with some excellent bags of carp and bream being caught. Fishery manager John Burchell, had 95lb of mainly skimmers in the three hour Monday evening match and these all came to paste fished down the near margin at 3 metres. The bigger fish are definitely patrolling close in and feeding better in the evening with carp to 16lb reported. Best pegs are 9 – 13, 16 – 20, 23 and 27 – 31.

LITTLE GEARYS The top pool at the moment with match weights to 128lb recorded this week and every peg capable of producing lots of fish, F1’s to 4lb, carp to 4lb, tench, skimmers, roach and cru
