        REPORT

MOLANDS Like the weather the fishing has been very changeable this week. Decent nets of carp are coming to the pellet feeder fished tight up to the island with banded pellet or punched meat the best hook baits. F1’s are responding better to shallow pole and pellet. The late afternoon sessions are seeing plenty of fish coming close into the near margin and corn, pellet or meat are all working. Top pegs 1 – 4, 10 – 13, 19, 27, 31, 43 – 48 and 56 – 60.

GEARYS The bream and skimmers have been spawning this week leading to a drop in catches. The carp are making up the better catches with fish weighed in during matches to over 17lb and pleasure anglers reporting even bigger samples. Corn or meat fished over ground bait is accounting for the better catches but bomb and pellet or method feeder to the middle stumps are also working. Top pegs are 1, 6, 15, 17, 19 – 23, 27, 30 – 32 and 36.

LITTLE GEARYS The most consistent pool this week with F1’s, carp, skimmers and crucians showing on most pegs. Fishing down the inside margin with paste, pellet or meat is the most productive tactic but long pole and pellet fished shallow and pellet feeder to the island are also catching well. Top pegs are 5 – 11, 15, 21 – 23 and 28.

GRATUITIES Carp to double figures, tench to 4lb and plenty of crucians and skimmers are showing at the moment. Pellet waggler fished to the island is accounting for the bigger carp with a pellet feeder also worth a try. Mixed nets are coming to float fished expander pellet, caster or small pieces of meat. Top pegs 1, 4 – 8, 9, 12 and 16.

WILLOW Good consistent sport on Willow with lots of F1’s and smaller carp in the
1 – 3lb bracket showing. A pellet feeder to the island or fished down the near margin with pellet or meat are the top tactics. Best pegs 1, 3, 5, 8 and 12.

ANNIVERSARIES Carp to over 20lb have featured in catches this week with boilies or dog biscuit catching the better fish. There have been plenty of skimmers, crucians, F1’s and tench coming to float fished corn or expander pellet with the top end from 1 – 9 in the best form.
