REPORT

MOLANDS The carp started to feed again with fish to 22lb weighed in during matches at the weekend and match weights to over 100lb. The wind pushed the fish down towards the near end with pegs 1 – 4 and 58 – 60 providing the better catches. Around the other parts of the pool, F1’s to 4lb have been showing with red maggot over ground bait the best tactic.

GEARYS For the time of year, Gearys has been in decent form with the milder weather ensuring the carp are still feeding. Match weights to over 60lb being caught with carp showing on most pegs to bomb and pellet or method feeder with dead reds. Skimmer nets to 30lb are also possible from all areas with expander pellet or red maggot fished over micros best.

LITTLE GEARYS A little more consistent this week with F1’s showing all around the pool and some carp to 10lb showing as well. Pole fished pellet or red maggot over ground bait is the top tactic with maggot or the waggler also doing well. Best pegs have been 3, 5, 7 – 15, 21 and 26 – 29.

ANNIVERSARIES Lots of smaller F1’s coming to pole fished pellet fishing expanders or banded hard pellet over micros. There have been a few tench to 4lb also showing to similar tactics. Top pegs have been 2, 6, 14, 15 and 23.

SIBLINGS A & B Both pools have been fishing well with F1’s the main target in B coming to pole fished pellet or maggot. On A, carp to 8lb have featured in catches to nearly 50lb with pole and pellet or a tiny feeder fished tight up to the far bank.
