FISHING REPORT – WEEK ENDING 23/6/13
Last week 99 rods caught 177 fish for an average of 1.79 fish per rod.
The fishing has been a little harder, again with the hot bright conditions through the middle of the week making it more difficult on those days. The more overcast days have seen a lot of fish moving on all of the pools.
The biggest fish of the week was a 6lb 14oz rainbow caught by Neil Jeacock of Wokingham who was fishing from a boat on the Great Pool and he tempted it on a Diawl Bach Nymph on a floating line. Harold Pritchett of Mancetter fished with his own tied dries on Cocks Close and took five fish to 4lb 4oz and returned a further six fish. Mr B Greenaway of Stoke Golding caught five fish to 4lb whilst fishing from a boat on Cocks Close and these came to a Damsel Nymph fished on a floating line. Dave Woollaston of
Warwick caught seven fish while fishing on the Park Meadow pool and these all fell to a Diawl Bach. Dave Bratby of Birmingham caught ten fish from the bank of Cocks Close on Buzzers and pearly olive Spiders.
Top patterns are Diawl Bach, Bloodworm, Damsel Nymph, dry Sedge, olive or black Buzzer and CDC Emerger.
The fishery opens at 8am and closes at dusk (10pm at the moment).
