FISHING REPORT – WEEK ENDING 14/7/13
Last week 65 rods caught 64 fish for an average of 0.98 fish per rod.
The very hot bright conditions have made sport very difficult over the past week.
The biggest fish of the week was a 6lb 8oz brown, which was caught and returned by Andrew Moulder of Dorridge who was fishing from a boat on the Great Pool and he took it on a small brown Buzzer fished on a floating line. Small Buzzers saw the down fall of six fish that fell to Mr Norton of Sutton Coldfield who was fishing from a boat on Cocks Close. Derek Bevan of Birmingham caught a five fish bag from the Hall Pool and these all came to a black Buzzer. Boat partners Kevin Brookes and John Kingslake of Tamworth took five fish limits from the Great Pool and they both caught on small Damsels fished on an intermediate line.
The Day Ticket Fishery, Cocks Close, will close on August 4th for a short period and will open on Saturday 14th September. For the next two weeks catch and release will be suspended and the following prices will apply:-
Day Ticket – 5 Fish – £15.00
2 Fish – £12.00
OAP 5 Fish – £12.00
2 Fish – £10.00
2 Fish – £8.00 (Mondays only)
EVE 2 Fish – £12.00
BOATS Day – £6.00
The fishery opens at 8am and closes at dusk (10pm at the moment).
