FISHING REPORT – WEEK ENDING 12/6/16
Last week 50 rods caught 89 fish for an average of 1.78 per rod.
It has been another difficult week with Cocks Close switching right off as the temperatures rose at the beginning of the week. Boat anglers found a few fish with the best areas in the corners as the fish are shoaling there.
The largest fish was a 10lb rainbow caught by Harold Pritchett of Nuneaton who was fishing from a boat on Cocks Close and took six fish in total, some on a Dry Wolfe and others on Damsels. Michael Hanson of Nuneaton had an 8lb 5oz rainbow on a green and white Lure whilst fishing from the bank on Cocks Close. Dave Bratby of Birmingham fished the bank of Cocks Close and tempted seven fish to 4lb on small Gold Head Damsels.
On the Park Meadow pool, Mark Goldney of Nuneaton fished a Blob on an intermediate line and caught six fish to 6lb 8oz
We will be closing on Thursday 30th June for the summer and from Monday 13th June catch and release will be suspended. Tickets will be £20 for five fish and £15 for five fish (senior citizen).
