FISHING REPORT – WEEK ENDING 16/9/12
Last week 58 rods caught 201 fish for an average of 3.46.
The Day Ticket water Cocks Close re-opened on Saturday and most anglers fishing caught a limit of five fish. The sand bank area and wires bank were the most productive areas and black Buzzer, Damsel Nymph, GRHE and Cats Whisker accounted for the lion’s share of fish.
The biggest fish of the weekend was a 5lb 8oz rainbow caught by Dave Fathers of Astwood Bank who was fishing from the bank of Cocks Close and he also caught a total of 12 fish on two tickets, these all came to black Buzzer fished on a floating line. Harold Pritchett of Atherstone caught five and released a further six fish up to 4lb whilst fishing from a boat on Cocks Close and these also fell to a black Buzzer. Robert White of Lapworth took a five fish limit from the bank of Cocks Close using small Blobs and black Buzzers.
On the members’ water Park Meadow, Paul Reay of Birmingham took four fish to 3lb on green Buzzer and black Lures.
Cocks Close opens at 8am and closes at dusk.
