FISHING REPORT – WEEK ENDING 18/6/17
Last week 38 rods caught 105 fish for an average of 2.76.
The extremely hot weather at the weekend saw sport become very hard but prior to that the fishing was good.
The best fish of the week was a 5lb rainbow which was the best of a six fish catch caught by Dave Kimbrell of Coventry who was fishing from a boat on Cocks Close and Dave caught them all on a Buzzer. Mark Goldney of Nuneaton caught eight fish during Sunday’s heatwave and he used Cats Whisker and Blobs fished deep whilst fishing from the bank of Cocks Close and he caught around the wires bank. Harold Lewis of Knowle also caught eight fish and these all came to Buzzers fished on a floating line from a boat on Cocks Close.
The fishing will close on Cocks Close pool at the end of June for the summer break. Park Meadow will continue to be open for day tickets and members and anybody interested should call the office on 01676 522754 to get further details.
The Fishery is open from 8am until dusk.
