boyceyParticipantpans hill on pans lake fishes last sunday and i,ll be honest it was shite 12 anglers with a gap on every peg.so no reason of presure…to the next peg the weights were piss poor 16lb won 13lb second and 10 lb 3rd on a 5hr match~think.now this lake produced 200lb weights im told only a few weeks ago~think.and there was a festival on the place the same weekend leaving pans lake out im told.now if theres clearly something wrong with the lake why let us fish it i would rather have my peg money back and not sit there and waist bait time and money???.clearly theres something wrong and ill be interested to hear what it is untill i do i wont be venturing to the place and wont be advising any angler to do so ~naughty.im noty after 1st place just to catch a few fish more than 4 i must add and before you say im shit more than half did,nt catch and even wiegh in ~think

Mattie73As Gaz has said the lake has been closed due to low oxygen levels. Obviously not fully recovered. Please don’t make judgements without knowing all the facts ~naughty
FYI Wood lake at Pans Hill is fishing its nuts off at the moment and can be won off many pegs, with three ton plus weights on different methods this Thursday with excellent back up weights!!!

boyceyParticipant~think cheers gaz thanks for the info if it was low in oxygen why was,nt the airator on? like i said mat the place fished crap and no i did,nt no why reason why im trying to find out~naughty.but if theres a problem and you no it dont let people fish it is what im saying.the place might be fishing its head of but i think ill pass to many stories being heard and to see it for myself only makes sense.as for moaning lee rob moderated wtf are you on about 12 anglers 50% or more did,nt weigh in and 16lb won it you do the maths.~think no need to be agresive either i could sit on tunnel barn come last with 20lb and be happy reason because i caught fish and was,nt tucked up….as for moaning dont you think i have a right to be a slight bit pished of then?

TF_stumpysquattI heard a funny story of ‘fictional’ match results from a well respected match angler who fished a match on there a couple of years back. Apparently not only were the frame weights made up but number of anglers fished was exaggerated beyond belief and published in the pages of unsuspecting Angling Times! Match anglers talk with their feet time will tell. I’ll be on the rivers!

Mattie73I’m of the understanding that another lake was offered to your club other than pans? Additionally last years weight win was 29 lb? This at the same time the lake was producing ton plus weights.
My overall point is that if people have an issue with a business be that tackle or venues, that they take it up with them first. Rather than make critism or assumptions that could be unfounded, or so any issue can be re-dressed.

TF_tracey4664Hi I as co owner of Panshill would like to say that I am very disappointed and also very pleased with some of the comments posted on here!!
Myself and my husband Ian have been more than honest about the fact that Pans lake is suffering from low oxygen at the moment and has been for the last couple of weeks.
Any club booked onto that lake has been informed and offered and alternate lake, or to cancel their booking if they wish,
We unlike many fishery owners have not clouded over the fact that we are having problems so please bear with us and support us for being upfront and honest, for those of you who already have shown support we would like to thankyou.
Any questions you may have please call me Tracey on 07740707795 and if I am able I will answer. -
